Banana Island International Nursery, Company
The Banana Island International Nursery is a specially designed, purpose built, co-educational day school with an international curriculum currently catering for children between the ages of 2 and 5. The School also offers a play group and crèche facilities.
The school buildings are based on the Exemplar Schools for the Future commissioned by the DCSF and anticipate future educational trends. The school is designed to be both accessible to the community yet safe and secure for the children. It anticipates a new role for the school in the civic life of the community it serves.
The School commenced in January 2010 with the Early Years section and will gradually increase until it reaches its full complement of classes. The School is located in superb purpose-built facilities in the exclusive Banana Island gated community of Ikoyi, Lagos, and is easily accessible.
Music is an important part of the Curriculum throughout the Nursery and the School aims to encourage each child to enjoy and make music. The younger children will use percussion instruments as well as joining together for songs and movement.
